My name is Corey Freeman and I’m a web designer and aspiring developer. I make money online through custom website and wordpress designs at Deadly Clever Designs. I also run a video blog review website at Blog by Design as a free service to blog owners.

The Winter of ‘04 and The Summer of ‘08

I started seriously creating websites around 2004, starting with a free account at Bravehost and finally earning enough money to purchase two year hosting in 2006 from Bluehost. My skills at the time were limited, but over time, and through the skill of problem solving, I learned how to design and code simple and complex websites by hand. In the summer of 2008, with no job and a need for cash to go see movies, purchase Dr. Pepper, and buy books (I buy a lot of books!) I decided to turn my hobby into a profession. I put up a portfolio on my only domain at the time, and went looking for an odd job. After a while, I learned various skills, such as client communication, adhering to deadlines, and always trying to provide the client with the best product possible. These are the skills I plan to transfer onto you with Diligent Design.

Why Diligent Design?

Diligent Design is a blog dedicated to helping you start, build, promote, and grow an online business that customers will be begging to work with. Even though the blog is still new, the tutorials, articles, and resources are up-to-date, useful, and quality. I also strive to explain tough processes and explain hard concepts through experimentation. Diligent Design grows with your business to continue to provide you with new resources and techniques.
